2026 - Oil Pastel on Paper
This oil pastel painting was inspired by a photograph of a mountain range overlooking a lake. I was drawn to the foggy mountains and the glass-like water. Given my limited palette of oil pastels at the time, this painting has more vibrancy than the original photo. I kept the water and sky as flat as possible to highlight the stillness in contrast to the thick strokes of color that compose the mountain and trees.
