Rocky Mountain National Park - Colorado Series No. 4

I did not get to spend much time in Rocky Mountain National Park, however, I painted this scene at a seemingly popular tourist stop where I overheard another tourist say “This is the most underrated view in the whole park.” This piece was a difficult pull between keeping shapes simple and adding the detail of the trees. Without the speckled appearance of trees, it didn’t feel like it represented what I saw with my eyes, but it was also difficult to add that level of detail and do it justice.
**I painted this series inside the lid of a mint tin, so the original is a non-standard size approximately 3”x2”. Due to this, prints come with a border to fit in standard size frames. Frame not included.**
